Great values. I noticed how loosely you've done the piece, but it turned out extremely well. The values really carry this piece. You can see the strokes up close, which is great. Wonderful.

Absolutely love the amount of detail you have put into this. The way the orbs contrast with the dragon is very striking.

Great work

I just wanted you to know that the Chinese dragons are the ones known for holding the orbs. The orbs represent the power of Chi. By the dragon holding or clutching the chi within its jaw it shows that had control over Chi and by controlling Chi it was able to control the power around it.

Needless to say you don't see this in Eastern Dragon because Eastern dragons are nature themselves in the Eastern culture there nothing more than a monster among the air.

Thanks for the notions :D

Well, not all the eastern dragons are chinise dragons indeed.

The legends of the orb in Korea, it actually belogs in the deep sea kingdom, where the master of the dragon dwells in it. The orb has the
nature power of the water, so this orb makes the eastern dragons able to call/summon the rain and the storm(it seems they thought the power of the weather comes from the sea).

If the dragon lose their orb, they lose all their given power, so many eastern dragons hold the orb by their mouth or their hands. Well, the way they hold the orb differs from jaw to mouth, or even both :D

(again, thanks for the comment. I didnt know about Chi before)

Love how the ball is in its mouth instead of just in their hands. That design should be used more often, especially with long curled fangs. :D
